Come and join us – the setting is a tavern at a crossroads. Who knows what interesting persons you may meet there.
There will be games and music, bards and rogues. A meal is included for the money you give to enter and shelter from the cold.
Games-masters will be on hand to teach and encourage playing games for fun and profit. A small purse of tokens will come with your entry, and there will be prizes for those who have the best luck at the tables. A fire master will ensure that the outdoor fire is well stocked, and ingredients for a special treat will be available to roast on sticks.
Mischief and mayhem, song, drink, and games of strategy, skill, and fencing will be in vogue. All at the Tavern of the Raging Rogue.
Bard of Madrone is Chosen at this Event
Do you like to entertain and want a fun little gig for the next year? Madrone’s Coronets will be selecting the next Bard of Madrone at Rogue’s Tavern. Prep a performance and present it at Rogue’s Tavern. Anything that fits into the broadest definition of “bardic” is acceptable (keep it family friendly)- music, poetry, dance, jokes, puppetry, juggling, whatever seems entertaining. Works don’t have to be original, or strictly period.
If you’d like a hand coaxing your performance to life or you’d like to know what the holder of the honor does during a year as Bard, feel free to consult with Rowena Jade of the Lion Isles or Gaston de Clermont.
Menu and What to Bring
The menu is soup, pretzels (gluten and gluten-free), sausages (meat and vegetarian), and cheese sauce.
If you have additional food restrictions, please let the event steward know!
There will be several games available to play. Attendees are welcome to bring their favorite period game and we will ensure you have table space to play with others.
Bring your dining equipment of plate, bowl, cup, utensils, and napkin. Bring beverages of your choice, a tablecloth for your table, battery-powered candles/ambiance lights. Open flame is not allowed by the site.
Accessibilty
Handicapped dropoff and limited handicapped parking is available. The site has a ramp to the entrance and the doorways are wide. Access to the back entrance, the stage, and the firepit may be limited and requires several steps.
Handcapped accessible, single occupancy restrooms available.
The event will be low light for ambiance.
Court will not have an ASL interpreter available.
