Bard of Madrone is Chosen at this Event

Do you like to entertain and want a fun little gig for the next year? Madrone’s Coronets will be selecting the next Bard of Madrone at Rogue’s Tavern. Prep a performance and present it at Rogue’s Tavern. Anything that fits into the broadest definition of “bardic” is acceptable (keep it family friendly)- music, poetry, dance, jokes, puppetry, juggling, whatever seems entertaining. Works don’t have to be original, or strictly period.

If you’d like a hand coaxing your performance to life or you’d like to know what the holder of the honor does during a year as Bard, feel free to consult with Rowena Jade of the Lion Isles or Gaston de Clermont.

New Sheen of Ire Heavy Combat Tourney at Rogue’s Tavern (weather permitting)

Assuming nice weather, Baroness Rauokinn and Baron Payne will sponsor a low key heavy tournament at Rogue’s Tavern — in celebration of Madrone’s first baroness (and in resurrection and continuation of the monthly tournament that was held during Cire and Elizabeth’s tenure), it will be the Sheen of Ire tournament — most likely round robin (depending on number of fighters) with prizes for winner, crowd favorite, and most chivalric. Time of tournament depending on schedule — updates soon.

There will also be rapier activities!

So bring out your fighting kit, fight, and stick around to enjoy the bardic and merriment. Questions? Let us know. Thanks!
