Words from the Seneschal: Major office changes are coming up in the new year: Major office changes are coming up in the new year: Candidates for Exchequer in February (Lady Melrakki – Mel Olson), Chronicler in April (Lord Bear Far-Wanderer – Aaron Merritt) and Seneschal (HL Jade – Carolyn Koh). Candidates will still have to be approved by Curia. Please forward any comments on their suitability to Seneschal, Baron and Baroness.
Exchequer: Apart from the changes to Equestrian insurance, there are changes to Financial Policy coming up in the new year from Corporate. Checks for 2026 site rentals will be sent out in 2026.
Chatelaine: Medea will step up as Kingdom Chatelaine at 12th Night in January. The Barony is still seeking a new Chatelaine to take over the position.
A&S: Many Classes and Tiny Talks were taught and taken at Yule! An enormous Thank You to all of our teachers, and to the students who attended. It was a grand success all around. The silent auction at Madrone Yule earned $390 for Food Lifeline.
Armored Combat: 16 fighters at practice. “Shook the donation can” and reminded fighters of the cost of rental of the practice space.
Rapier: About 20 showing up for practice There’s a surge of interest in Cut and Thrust. Working on 2026 budget for loaner gear. Don Samuel is leaving the barony. Current deputy (Morganus) will step up as Marshal.
Herald: Consultation table at Yule went spectacularly well. Plans to do it again at Rogues Tavern. Continuing to work with Dexter Gauntlet to standardize the categorization of the Tsveti.
Scribe: The December 24th scribal social at Cross Roads is canceled.
Social Media: 7 new comers on discord server as well as Facebook group.
Webster: Many updates to the website, including event updates. Continuing to work on upgrades to the website and backend updates. Alicia du Bois has expressed interest in the Webster position.

Sergeantry: At Madrone Yule

- Candidate Bear supported the event as Tiny Talks wrangler and worked on their name and heraldry submission and dancing
- Candidate Nathanael Lekarev taught Intro to Nalbinding
- Gallant Kate did a Tiny Talk on Temari Balls
- Lancer Val Monticue taught Needle Felt your Heraldry!
Socials: January 5th social will continue the Largesse Making Party and Medea talk “Chatelaine 101” with anyone interested in the position.

Equestrian: Party in lieu of practice in December at the Garrigues’ in Maple Valley. watch guild Facebook group for more information. Likely no January practice either.
Dance: We had over a dozen dancers participate in the Day of Dance at Madrone Yule. We must have tired folks out, as there were no dancers the following Monday at the Baronial social. December Canton practice had 6 dancers participating, with live music from Toivo calling in from Caid.
Events:
Madrone Yule (December 13th): Yule was successfully pulled off. We had 83 adults and 4 youth through gate. A profit was made. Feedback on site: TP is nasty (BYOTP). Elevator – ADA concerns – as buzzer has to be pressed and door remotely opened. It can take a minute.
Rogue’s Tavern (February 21st 2026): Garland making party at Kerij-e & Rafael’s Feb 1st. Gate will open at 1pm. Plans for dancing and music all day. Lots of jobs for volunteers. Contact steward Valerien.
Colloquium/Spring Event (April 11th, 2026): Jade presented a proposal for an afternoon of workshops and classes, including body measurements for costuming, armor fitting & trades, Tiny Talks, Rapier & Cut n Thrust in the classroom with wall of mirrors, and culinary in the kitchen. Site: Phinney Neighbor Association Campus – Blue Building.
Lionhearts (May 30th, 2026): Up for bids. Baroness would like this to be a camping event and has information on suitable camping sites in the area. Please contact her if you are interested in stewarding this event.
Athenaeum (June 27th, 2026): Steward – Ameline, Site: Renton Technical College. Contract has been signed, check request forwarded.
Peasants Revel (August 8th, 2026): Spirit Ridge Park

New Business:
Dragon Slayer Demo / Walk for NW Sarcoma Foundation will be in Magnusson Park September 19, 2026. Proposal to participate with a demo.
