The Emprise of the Black Lion is an equestrian-centered event sponsored by the Barony of Madrone. In 2025, the Emprise will again be held in partnership with Autumn War sponsored by the Barony of Blatha an Oir.
Themed around the 1460 Treatise of Rene of Anjou, the equestrian activities highlight pageantry in the fields of Equestrian and Martial deeds through a variety of tournaments and competitions.
