OFFICER REPORTS
Exchequer: Warrant ends 2025 – seeking a deputy to train up to the position.
Herald: We are urgently seeking someone to step into the office. It is an administrative position and you do not need to be a book herald to take this position.
A&S: Budget & Quarterly Report turned in. arts.antir.org is an excellent resource for all things A&S.
The Peers Auction at 12th Night in January benefits Pasado’s Safe Haven
Project Days & Craft Nights continue. Almost 30 went to the last Sunday Project day at the BnB’s
Chatelaine: Nothing to report – will be at Yule Event
Armored Combat: Slowing down for the holidays. About 6 – 10 fighters continue to show up for Monday practices. No injuries.
Rapier/Cut n Thrust: 15 – 20 are coming to practices. No injuries.
Chamberlain: Will bring and pickup SCA sandwich boards for Yule Event.
Scribe: The Wednesday night scribal socials at 3rd Place Books and Crossroads Mall are still going. All scrolls are in order for Yule.
Social Media: 2 new members added to Facebook group, 8 to Discord.
Chronicler: October Minutes are up on the website
Webster: All is well, website is up and updated.
GUILD / ACTIVITIES / SERGEANTRY REPORTS
Culinary Guild: Cooking away. Wednesday meetings are ongoing. Looking to possibly do a Baronial Banquet Nov 1, 2025
Dance: Practicing and teaching dances for A Day of Dance at Good Yule Practice continues at the Madrone Baronial Social site at KapKa Cooperative School, dance in the meeting space upstairs from the heavy/rapier practice in the gym starting at 7 PM every third Monday of the month. An additional practice now in Kent – location provided in emails.
Socials: Socials will be focused on 12th Night Prep. Bring your projects to share / help each other.
Crown has asked for simple to make largesse items like veils and coifs. These will be the projects for upcoming craft socials / project days after 12th Night.
Peerage round table mooted for a social in the new year. Conversations about their journey to their peerage.
Events:
- Good Yule – everything is on track to happen except there will not be a Bardic performance.
- Rogue Tavern – everything is on track. Welcome fund will be available.
- Lionhearts will be held jointly with Wyewood’s Baronial Investiture at their outdoor (free) site in Kent. An event steward has been identified for Wyewood. Both Rowena Jade and Baron Kit stepped up for Madrone. Accepted as 1st bid presentation. 2nd with budget will be presented at December Curia
- Athenaeum – June 28, 2025. 2nd presentation by Ameline de Beaumont. Accepted
- Peasants Revel – Culinary Guild will move the to August, 2025 and seeks recommendations for neighborhood sites that are ADA friendly, have bathroom access, shade and a hill for cheese rolling. Free is good, but low cost is acceptable.
- Virtual Athenaeum – seeking a Project Coordinator.
New Business:
- May Crown (May 16 – 18 in Grandview, WA): Bid by Tristin/PdL was accepted. Planning will kick up after the first of the year.
- 2025 Budget: first presentation. Approval is scheduled for December Curia. If you haven’t turned in your budget for your office. Do it now.
- December Curia will be held Tuesday, December 17th and not the 24th.
