Words from their Excellencies: Lionhearts went well. We had a wonderful encampment at May Crown. We met with a reporter – Natalie of The Stranger – at Kapka fight practice, and she will be trying things/coming to events with us for her Culture article.

Words from the Seneschal (Eden for Bergdis): Reviewing/Revising the Customary will be scheduled once Bergdis is back
Words from the Porte de L’eau Seneschal (Ysolt for Margaret): Request for Peasants Revel to be regarded as the one official event for the Canton. Autocrats and Culinary Guild have already approved, Barony officers polled and approved.
OFFICERS REPORTS.
Exchequer – Etiniette
First quarter Epay donations have been released by Kingdom. Athenaeum site fee has been paid. Lionhearts has been reimbursed. We have a couple other large expenditures coming up: The annual fee for the Baronial storage unit will be due end June, our share of Emprise of the Black Lion at Autumn War will also be due soon.
Reminder: Warrant is up November 2024, and currently, a deputy is sought to be trained into the position.
Herald – Simon
Thanks to all that stepped up to herald at Lionhearts. An applicant has stepped up, but did not get letter of intent to BnB & Seneschal in time for Curia – will work with Simon for Athenaeum.
Scribe – Eulalia
Had a scribal session in May and will start back up in June.
Arts & Sciences – Rotrude Halfblind
Barony members exhibited at Egils and Embers & Ambrosia. There will be a large turnout at Athenaeum.
Chatelaine – Medea
Lionhearts went very well with people who stopped at the table to talk despite the rain. Several newcomers came.
Chamberlain – Enzio
“We have stuff.” Equipment brought out for Lionhearts retrieved and stored same day.
Old pavilion is a huge piece of canvas – will list on FB marketplace and/or Craigslist. Fully depreciated, does not come with poles or ropes if anyone is interested.
Social Media: Isentrud has stepped up with letter of intent which was published on Social Media and email. Isentrud spoke, and a polling was taken of Officers present with unanimous approval.
8 new Facebook Group adds.
Armored Combat: Practice will be across the school at the War Garden Public Park @ 50th & Dayton for the summer (if weather permits).
Rapier & Cut-and-Thrust – Temetgen
No injuries. Practice is averaging 16-30 people. A few new contacts. Galen has already started running Thursday practices at Crossroads Park.
Webster – Rowenna de Manning
All is well, website is up and updated. New champions have been added.

May 4, 2024 – Lionhearts at Crossroads Park in Bellevue
Lionhearts went very well. Many thanks to all – No injuries, 3 new champions. Report has been sent in to BnB and Seneschal, and will be sent to Exchequer. Event ran under budget despite the requirement to rent the lawn as well – because we put in the non-profit request and received a 30% discount, and printing of flyers and information pamphlets were donated. PdL will send a check to Barony to cover expenses minus donations received.
June 29, 2024 – Athenaeum at Lake Washington High in Kirkland
Pre-Registration will available in June. A total of 58 exhibitors and 20 laurels have signed up.
July 13, 2024 – Peasants will be the Canton of PdL’s official event. A location has been determined – Spiritridge Park in Bellevue.
September 12 – 15, 2024 – Emprise of the Black Lion at Autumn War in Tenino
There will be another site walk-through in June. Alianora will not be able to attend Emprise and is seeking a replacement as liaison.
December 7, 2024 – We have the date on the calendar. Another Colloquium or perhaps a low key pot-luck Yule were mooted.
New Business: Rowenna de Manning announced a privately held “Welcome Fund” which will be available to offset Non-Member Surcharges for Barony and Canton events. Donations are welcome.
