Words from the PdL Seneschal: Good Yule went well and donations covered the site cost. The New Year’s Eve-Eve-Eve get-together will happen in the day time on December 28th. Please contact us for the address.

OFFICER REPORTS

Exchequer: Proceeds from Autumn War, Epay donations and donations from fighters all came in and were deposited. 2025 Budget was presented and ratified by all officers and paid members present. Warrant ends November 2025 – seeking a deputy to train up to the position.

Herald: Tam Cau Jyun Zyu (nicknamed Heraldsbane) has expressed interest in the position and will turn in her application to BnB & Seneschal before January Curia

A&S:      The Peers Auction at 12th Night in January benefits Pasado’s Safe Haven.

                Work shop “Working with Fur” at Baroness Gera’s – information posted on Facebook and Discord

Project Days & Craft Nights continue especially in preparation for 12th Night.

Chatelaine:        Contacted by Emerald City Comic Con again for demo. Working out the details. We also have a possibility for demo at World Con in 2025.

Armored Combat:           No injuries. No practice Monday 23rd, but open Monday 30th. Lord Nicklaß Volkhart stepped up to extend his term a year to October 2025. Accepted by all officers and paid members present.

Rapier/Cut n Thrust:       No injuries. No practice Monday 23rd, will have Thursday practice as usual.

Chamberlain:    Baron Enzio Bandinelli stepped up to extend his term a year to September 2025. Accepted by all officers and paid members present.

Scribe: Wednesday Scribal Socials continue. No meeting next Wednesday (Christmas Day)

Chronicler: Nothing to report

Webster: All is well, website is up and updated. Will pay for 2025 hosting and submit invoice for reimbursement. Will re-up again to continue being responsible for the Baronial website.

GUILD / ACTIVITIES / SERGEANTRY  REPORTS

Culinary Guild:  Cooking away. Looking to possibly do a Baronial Banquet Nov 1, 2025 – All Hallows “Vampire Banquet”

Equestrian:  No December practice (repairs from wind storm still ongoing). Insurance for 2025 has been applied for.

Dance:  Day of Dance went well at Good Yule, with thanks to Dame Sara from Wyewood and Duchess Stjarna from Wastekeep for assisting in teaching and leading.

Practicing and teaching dances continues at the Madrone Baronial Social site at KapKa Cooperative School, dance in the meeting space upstairs from the heavy/rapier practice in the gym starting at 7 PM every third Monday of the month. An additional practice now in Kent – location provided in emails.

Socials: Socials will be focused on 12th Night Prep. Bring your projects to share / help each other.

Crown has asked for simple to make largesse items like veils and coifs. These will be the projects for upcoming craft socials / project days after 12th Night.

Peerage round table the first Monday social (Jan 6th) at Kapka in the new year. Conversations about their journey to their peerage.

Events:

  • Good Yule went very well. Donations covered cost of site. Kudos to Lady Hrefna for the “double dog dare” challenge for the Potluck. Thanks to all who contributed. There was plenty of food and high praise from attendees for the best pot luck with period dishes they’ve had. Much thanks to Baron Trahaern, Dame Sara and Duchess Stjarna for teaching/leading the dancing, to Sir Gaston, Lady Hrefna, Lady Elasar, Mistress Rotrude for live music, and everyone who helped.
  • Rogue Tavern – February 8, 2025 – everything is on track. Welcome fund will be available. Work parties will be held in the new year.
  • Lionhearts – May 31, 2025 – will be held jointly with Wyewood’s Baronial Investiture and Day of Archery at their outdoor (free) site in Kent. Event Stewards are Tim for Wyewood and Jade for Madrone. A preliminary budget was presented and will be revised with Wyewood. Brats with the Baronesses requires approval from both Baronesses. Substantial support received for the event. Revised budget and proposal will be presented at January Curia.
  • May Crown (May 16 – 18 in Grandview, WA): Planning will kick up after the first of the year.
  • Athenaeum – June 28, 2025.
  • Peasants Revel (August, 2025). Please check your neighborhood parks for suitability to hold this event. Needs: ADA friendly, bathroom access, parking shade and a hill for cheese rolling. Free is good, but low cost is acceptable.
  • Virtual Athenaeum still seeking a project coordinator.

New Business

  • Polling for Customary Approval will be held January Curia
