Châtelaine:
There were 10 new people at Peasants happy to see attendance up for our events .The process on a new card design for Barony cards has yet to start. Châtelaine quarterly is due soon but we are ahead of the game and it has been turned in.
Exchequer:
we have money! Storage is paid for the year, society exchequer hosting a training on Sept 19th for exchequer.
Chamberlain Report: Chamberlain has stuff ready for event needs.
A&S:
Arts and Sciences meetup was held at Galfryd Yrinmongers on Weds 19th

Delicious cookies were served, people perused the library, sewing and chainmail was worked on

The next A&S meetup is scheduled for Wednesday September 16. Tabby is hosting 5-9pm (important to note, earlier start time than usual) at her place in Ballard.
Tabby and Heraldsbane have proposed becoming A&S deputies, with the aim of one and/or both eventually taking over the office. Rotrude is in favor.
Dance:
Porte de l’Eau dance practice happens the first Thursday of each month, from 7 to 9 PM, at Trahaearn and Janelyn’s home near downtown Kirkland. Most of us will be in modern clothes and comfortable shoes, but garb is always welcome. Rapier:
continues to have wide participation. Recruitment has slowed down some from the large surge of growth that we saw earlier in the year, but we seem to have largely held on to the members that we gained in that period. We’ve gotten our loaner swords in which has been a real help.
Cut and Thrust:
CnT has been similar to rapier, with wide participation and a number of newer fighters, though this month we did lose some members—a number of college students returned to school for the semester, though it does seem that they’re sticking with sword fighting—they all had us help them find local SCA chapters in their various locales. We’ve run into a brief snag regarding loaner equipment—there’s an incoming major rules revision that could substantially affect which gear is legal, and as such I’ve put obtaining gear largely on hold until we have a better sense of what all is going to be legal moving forward.
Webster : New updates to the website include Updating plugins and WordPress to version 7.1.

Sargents:
8/26/26 will be a Sergeants and Candidates meet up at Pagliacci Pizza in Kenmore at 7pm and prospective candidates are also invited to attend. Reports from this event are good with socialization happening.
Equestrian:practice 8/29 practices are the last Saturday of the month at Ravenscourt.

We work on peaceful desensitization to gaming equipment, basic tilt training, general lance training, and acclimating horses to other games as there is interest.

Haust Boð :Fauntleroy church 10/24/2026 FB is up, Event page is up on kingdom web site, event team is mostly assembled. More details and updates will happen after Autumn War. Insurance from the kingdom received, we have submitted an event information form to the kingdom. There will be a dessert auction to benefit 50/50 te Barony and the West Seattle Food Bank. There is a want for music, arts and dance for this event. There may be a garb swap at this event too. If you would like to get involved contact Lady Melrakki.
New Business:
Event Proposed by Master Aeron Corrinno called Cella Ceres for spring of 2027, hopefully this event will be at the Bellevue Hilton. The idea is to create an event that focuses on developing the knowledge base and networking of consorts and those interested in how a reign runs to equal the level of refinement and training that heavy fighters put in to ultimately win Crown. The goal is to involve members of The Order Of The Rose, former Kingdom Seneschals, ExCheckers, retinue heads, court coordinators in a series of legacy sharing sessions interspersed with networking and socialization. The reason for the name Cella Ceres leans into the Madrone habit of using Greco Roman names for new events. Cella is a small temple, Ceres is the Roman goddess of the harvest and prosperity. Our goal is to raise successive crops of populace members better able to step into Kingdom service roles or be Consort without as steep a learning curve or feeling overwhelmed by the scope.” We have expanded the scope to include Exchequer, Seneschal, and Retinue training, we are now in talks with the Airport hotel we had 12th Night 2021 at because their date availability is better. We have buy in from both the Kingdom Seneschal and Exchequer that they will be helping develop class tracks and promote and possibly cost share, but the intent is that Madrone keep any profit
