During the day, there will be Arts & Sciences classes and Tiny Talks, and a Day of Dance instruction led by Master Trahaern. A hospitality table (by donation) with coffee and hot water for tea will be available for all to partake of during the day, and in the early evening, we will have a Potluck feast and a Ball with live music.
Potluck Details
For this Potluck Feast, the potluck coordinator would like to invite everyone to make a dish that was Seasonal for December, January or February pre-1900.
You are encouraged to explore a place and create a dish inspired from it. Check out the post on the Barony of Madrone & PdL Facebook group for some ideas.
To participate, Please bring a card or brief fact sheet saying where your dish is from, time period the dish is from and what winter seasonal food items are featured in it.

Holiday Tunics
Our Baroness Rauokinn encourages “Ugly Holiday Tunics” (think of period versions of ugly holiday sweaters). There will likely be accolades for creativity and visual stunning-ness, but no one is going to judge your sewing ability.
Silent Auction
There will be a silent auction of handcrafted items to benefit Food Lifeline. https://foodlifeline.org. Can you donate an artistic or crafted item that needs a new home? With particular emphasis on Handmade and Local items. (Medieval themes encouraged, but not required). Cookie Competition!
There will be two categories of judgment, Provably Period and Definitely Delicious. Both categories require an entry of one dozen individual cookies, a complete list of ingredients, and of course the name of the gentle presenting said cookies.
For Provably Period cookies, an additional requirement is the original recipe and source, whether copied by hand or machine, or the book itself brought in. We understand that “cookie” in modern understanding doesn’t always correlate directly to period treats, and simply ask that the spirit of cookies be honored.
Please bring your entries to HL Tabytha Morgan (Tanayle Haga) when you arrive, so they may be kept safe and readied for presentation to our fine judges, their wise, discerning, un-bribable, excellencies, Margaret Palmer of Wyewood and Rauokinn of Madrone!
