After much discussion on the impact of rising COVID Delta cases in King County, the updated State mask and vaccination mandates, the conditions at the park, shorter days, and a poll of the curia attendees, their Excellencies Madrone and the Baronial Seneschale have decided that the Barony will rent the Gym starting Monday Sept 20. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kapka Cooperative School (510 N 49th St, Seattle, WA). Please read the following rules carefully.
Regarding Masks
Following WA state mandate, masks are required of everyone inside the building and when gathering in groups outside (such as waiting at the door or hanging out in the park).
Per Society and Kingdom rules, everyone must fill out the Covid tracking sheet with modern name and contact information.
Masks are required for fighters even while ACTIVELY practicing. Mask are required during armoring up/down and during discussions. **Updated from original announcement**
At this time, we are not making an exception of masks for heralds, musicians, and singers.
Regarding Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test
Starting with the October 26th practice, proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours will be required of everyone attending and noted on the Covid Tracking sheet. It will be required every time as each week's practices sheet is stored by the Seneschal to provide privacy.
Starting with the October practice, people outside of Madrone are welcome to join practice with the same requirements.
General Reminders About the Site
Do not congregate outside the entrance. Social distancing please.
Do not go into any other areas of the school, except the restrooms and the mezzanine, except during socials in the cafe.
Clean up after yourselves. No empty bottles, garbage, etc. "Cleaner than we found it."
Observe all parking regulations in the area. The lot across Dayton Ave N is available.
For those who do not wish to practice indoors, there is a spot in War Garden Public Park across from the school on N 50th Street that has been used in the past. (Be careful crossing the street and please still sign in for tracking and waivers.)
Exit the hall by 9 p.m. promptly so that the cleaning staff can complete their work. This is a family neighborhood, please keep the volume down outside.

Come join the populace as we socialize, dance, work on projects and discuss upcoming Baronial events. Check the Barony Facebook group or the Barony website for details of the theme of an upcoming Social. Also, for more information, contact our Chatelaine.

Our formal Baronial Social upstairs above heavy medieval combat/rapier combat practice, where we'll generally have an A&S project. This activity is not in garb/historical clothing.
